who gives a fuck about an Oxford comma?

Today is over. I don't miss it one bit.

I couldn't sleep last night so 7:30 came a little too early for my liking. I managed to get up, make my coffee, and do my makeup before settling in for a breakfast of a peanut butter and honey sandwich. I had just enough time to clear everything off of my sink before Mr. Lany came to clean my room. I was out into the freezing morning air by 8:15.

It was freezing in class today and I just couldn't seem to focus. We were discussing the French education system today in class, and my professor was asking us to apply the sentences about French education to the US. I was really out of it today and was not paying attention when one of the girls asked a question about the material we were reading. My professor said that was an interesting quesetion and that she normally covers it with her upper division students. She then said that it was called the "oxford comma" in English. I immediately made a face because it has bothered me ever sine I started learning French that the French don't use the Oxford comma. Of course she noticed my face and asked if I had noticed. I then went on a tirade about the need for an Oxford comma in French and how it really bothers me. I really need to stop having outburts in class.

During the discussion, the same girl from before said that the cahsee is a necessary exam for all Californian students that is kind of like the French bac. My professor asked me to transform the next sentence that said that the bac lasts for a week. I said that I didn't know how long the cahsee lasts because I didn't have to take it. I tuned out for the AP discussion.

During our break I started reading the book that Caroline loaned to me. It's actually fairly interesting. I'm excited to keep reading it. I focused on my reading despite the usual nonsense that the other kids were getting into.

The rest of French was boring until the very end. My professor handed back our compositions and midterms. I got an A on the composition and 102% on the midterm. I shrugged and went home.

Mr. Lany wasn't even on my floor yet so I took a minute to wash my dishes in contemplation of his arrival. I then sat down to write my French oral presentation about fashion and then moved on to working on a worksheet about the film "entre les murs" and doing some auto correction exercises. I did manage to have some cream of mushroom soup while I labored over my textbook.

I dragged myself to pop at 12:45. We couldn't go into the classroom yet so we all sat outside. Normally Mindy is all bubbles and sunshine but today she seemed distracted. When class finally started we began by talking about yesterday's evaluations. She of course chose to talk about my evaluation; she called it "very dramatic". She then went into a spiel about how we have to find the learning style that works for us and how we should only be spending one hour per article. The words "just skip it" were used. How can you read something and skip parts?! I spent the rest of class making an angry face and generally being tuned out. I couldn't wait to leave.

After that torture I had to go to the phone store to see if I could get the phone that Caroline gave me activated. Of course it's the same guy that "helped" me when mom went with me to get a sim card for my phone. When I approached him he literally said "what do you want?". He then proceeded to be generally rude to me before telling me that the phone isn't unlocked and I'd have to take it to the free store to get unlocked. Fantastic.

I was starving, and since my apartment is food free, I decided to stop and get a baguette. I got my bread and came home. Mr. Lany was two doors down so I settled in for some more French homework before he arrived. I finished French and moved on to planning my week. It's going to be a busy one, folks. After finishing my French homework I took a break to watch the new episode of South Park because I had a massive headache. Next up was half of Horne chapter 16,  editing my pop paper, and then the other half of the Horne chapter. I was finished by 7:15 so I thought that I'd shower before I talked to mom at eight. I google mapped the directions to Sacré-Coeur tomorrow and then showered. I also got an email from Caroline. I'm meeting her at the office tomorrow at 6:45 pm. Oh, I also have to tell you that I'll be without internet service for the weekend. You'll just have to wait to hear about my adventures.

I talked to mom, and then I made a cup of raspberry tea before trying to edit my histories momument analysis again. It seems to suck worse than before. I finished that and started to write to you. I've been unusally hungry since I got back from holiday. I heard my stomach growling so I made another bowl of cream of mushroom soup before I finished writing my woes to you. Now it's time for some quality time with the tv. I deserve this.
