I'm sorry, dear reader, I'm writing to you in a rush.
The first half of my day only consisted of studying. Not really worth writing about, but I'll give you the highlights. I woke up at a few minutes to nine and knew that I needed to get started. I'm going to a party tonight so I had to make sure that all my studying was done early. I studied, but everything was going way faster than it did yesterday. I was able to take small breaks inbetween items and was progressing nicely. At about 11:50 I checked my email to find out that pass times to pick classes are starting. My date is on the 27th. I then spent about 45 minutes finding classes, emailing my mom needing advice, and contacting the French advisor for an add code. I'm not sure if I'm going to take French. It's in the middle of the day, everyday but Friday, so I'd have to work at night. If I don't take French then I can just have class on Mondays and Wednesdays.
After dealing with that for awhile I got back to studying. The Loosely reading for pop took forever as usual, but was kinda interesting this time. It talked about the sociology of pop and why people listen to specific genres/artists. I then took a break to make myself a grilled cheese and watch some People's Court.
I finished off my work with studying for my histories midterm and editing my Invalides scavenger hunt. I only studied for histories for 40 minutes. I feel a little guilty about it, but I study all the time. I just have to stall until she gives us the questions for the midterm this week.
Oh, and I've had more drama with the girls. I slept like a baby last time because there was no noise! However, Talia and Anna want to talk to me. They've been sending me messages on Facebook about meeting with me today. I told them I wasn't home.
I finished my work at a few minutes to four and decided to go out. I wanted to go to the kilo shop to try to find something to wear tonight. I wrote down the instructions and went out the door. While I was leaving I heard a noise in the street. I looked out the window outside my door and saw flags in the street. There was a riot about something to do with the Middle East. I read a sign that said "what do you want from reacting? A new massacre?". There were also anarchists among the protestors and another sign said something about Turkey being murderous. I took a few pictures, mostly of the whole amount of police and police vans that were on the street, and kept walking.
I forgot that Saturday is like market day in Paris. Everyone does their shopping today because shops close tomorrow. The streets were insane. I ended up not finding the kilo shop, but I did manage to find 1) A really cool gothic monument 2) hotel de ville 3) a protest about transgender rights 4) a protest for rights for Sengalese 5) and the thrift store Free p star (you've read about it before when I last went thirft shopping, but I probably spelled the name wrong here). I went in and looked around but didn't buy anythign 6) a street called "rue de mauvais garçons"
I have been carrying around a 50 for awhile now and have been unable to break it. I decided to take the long way home and go to Monoprix to pick something up. I got a frozen white sauce and spinach lasagna that I'm eating as I type this. It's actually pretty delicious, and I got change. Win-win.
Time to get dressed for the party. Quentin is meeting Leila and me on the RER A platform towards Marre La Ville. Wish me bonne chance! I'll report everything tomorrow and upload the pictures from today's walk.
