Madame! S'il vous plait!!

There's not much to report today.

I woke up at 7:30 to study for my quiz today. Our professor sent us the structure of the quiz ahead of time, so I made sure to review all of the necessary sections. I tried my quartre-quart Breton today; it's kinda dry and tasteless. At 10 I took a break to go to bread from Franprix. I'd still been dreaming of 76 cent delicious baguettes after yesterday's fiasco. I got my baguette and basically ran home. It wasn't delicious today; dry and kinda burned. Maybe I'll stop being so cheap and go to the boulangerie from now on.

I finished studying with a few moments to spare before I had to leave for my one o'clock doom, so I watched an episode of Judge Judy. As I was preparing to leave the house I saw a new email. It was from my professor; she's onto the fact that I'm unhappy in class and wanted to meet with me after lecture. Totally busted. This little surprise did not put me in a great mood, and I left for class sans makeup but with extra tissues for my upcoming cry session.

The quiz was okay. I actually think I did pretty well on it. During one of the partnered exercises there was no one for me to partner with so my professor did it with me. We are learning about how to order food/drinks and their names. She wanted me to learn to use my voice so she went to the other corner of the room and forced me to yell for her across the room! Having her act as my waitress was kind of fun, but having the whole class hear me was totally embarrassing.

Skip ahead to after class and my little meeting with the professor. There are a few things to say about that. 1. She was very reassuring and helped me think through strategies to survive in French 2. I'm definitely taking the practicum pass/no pass considering that we have to learn a chapter of totally new material every day and a half. 3. I cried. 4. I will survive. hey hey.

I came home and did my homework, which included writing my first composition. After my homework it was still early so I started thinking of things to do that had nothing to do with watching Judge Judy in my room. I Facebook messaged the only two friends I have here, and one of them invited me to go to the bars with her and some of her friends. My first bars in Paris! Be excited for me, people!!

Oh, side note, Tamara dropped our French class because she's too advanced. I didn't like her anyways.

Hang on to the edge of your seat to hear about my little adventure into Parisian nightlight tomorrow.
